[…] There are other people out there who find this stuff fascinating. And at the time, I was working as a designer at some tech company, and it is kind of soul-sucking to do that at a company. You want to do things that are creative and good for people, and they just tell you to make number go up. And what I found was an opportunity to take my skills and my passions and turn that into something that was about transit, something that people cared about. And I took all these research questions I had and started putting them into a website. The first one I made was sfstreetcars.co. It was an interactive map of where all the streetcar routes used to go in San Francisco with all these photos mapped out, very interactive. […]
