#060: Final Rep Europeans 2026 – Recap, Judging & What Needs to Improve
In this episode, we take a detailed look back at the Final Rep European Championships 2026 – not only at what happened on the platform, but also at everything surrounding the competition.
Together with Adam Ahlberk, Aun Evensen and Cresci-Anne Croes, we bring different perspectives to the table: athlete, sponsor, volunteer, livestream commentator and people actively involved in the Streetlifting community.
We discuss the actual performances across the weight classes and why the overall level of the competition might have been better than it initially seemed. But we also take a closer look at some of the topics that caused discussion during and after the Europeans.
We talk about:
→ Athlete performances, records and our overall impressions of the Final Rep Euros
→ The organization of the event and the outdoor warm-up situation
→ Problems with the competition rings and equipment consistency
→ Judging standards, strict calls and the current VAR system
→ Delays, spotting and possible improvements to competition flow
→ Athlete behaviour, professionalism and controversial disqualifications
→ How the livestream and commentary could develop as Streetlifting continues to grow
→ The importance of professional presentation for athletes, viewers and sponsors
→ The current anti-doping system, randomized testing and the need for more transparency
The goal of this episode isn’t simply to criticize what went wrong. We also talk about what worked well, where Final Rep has improved and what could help take international Streetlifting to the next level.
A long and open discussion about the Final Rep European Championships 2026 and the future development of competitive Streetlifting.

#059: Mental Coaching in Streetlifting – Unlocking Competitive Performance ft. Inori Serre
In this episode, I’m joined by Inori Serre – a sports psychologist, mental coach, and athlete with personal experience in streetlifting, calisthenics, circus arts, and competitive swimming.
Together, we explore the often-overlooked mental side of strength sports and how mental coaching can become a game-changer — especially when it comes to handling pressure, building confidence, and staying focused under the bar.
Inori shares her structured approach to coaching, including real-world tools like the 3R method (Register – Release – Refocus), which she used successfully with high-level athletes in competition settings.
We also discuss:
→ The link between mental fatigue, fear, and physical performance
→ Visualization, self-talk, and focus techniques that athletes can start using today
→ Why mental skills training should at least begin 2–3 months before peak competition
→ How she supports athletes through injury recovery, plateaus, and overthinking
→ And how mental skills developed in training transfer far beyond the platform
Whether you're just starting to compete or preparing for a big championship – this episode will give you tools, inspiration, and insight into how mental performance can shape your next PR.
