כחמישים שנה היהדות הדתית שחיפשה דרך להידבר עם החוגים החילוניים, מנסה למכור יהדות בלי אמונה בקב"ה. זה מאוד חכם במובן מסויים - אי אפשר "למכור" את הערכים על רקע האמונה, אז מוכרים את הערכים הסוציאליים של מנוחת השבת, הערכים התרבותיים והערכים הלאומיים וכמה זה חשוב ויפה ומועיל לחינוך. אבל בלי הקב"ה, בלי נשמה. יש אנשים שמתהלכים עם חלום שווא. הם רואים את המסרים הגדולים של היהדות מתוך בית המדרש ומנסים למכור את התורה לחילונים, אבל מוציאים את הנשמה. האם יש ליהדות מסרים בלי הקב"ה? יש, פירורים משולחן גבוה. יש רגעים עם משמעות גם בחיים חילוניים, אך כאשר מדברים על תורה בלי דבקות בקב"ה, את היופי והעצמה והקדושה וההדר של היהדות אנו לא מצליחים להעביר.
