Podcast Overview

My Good Three is a 5-minute podcast, 3 times per week, that helps improve your belief in people.

These are real stories about real people doing good things. The point is to balance the toxic news and social media messages we consume all week. Monday is a good story from the past, Wednesday the present, and Friday, you'll head into the weekend with a story to keep you optimistic about our future.

My Good Three is hosted by Chris, a husband, dad, and veteran living in Richmond, Virginia. In late 2023, he suffered a health scare and it was attributed to stress. He decided to make a change and began reading about people and acts of kindness, about inspirational events and things to be hopeful for - and it made a significant difference. It turns out this storytelling approach to gratitude and optimism is backed by neuroscience research.

When it comes to the stories he shares on My Good Three, he works hard to find stories most people can appreciate. He tries to get the story right, and to avoid politics, partisanship, or anything divisive, but he may stumble into something that you’d like to challenge - which is fine. You can send him a note detailing your displeasure at any time. M18: The Rightful Winner And The Definition Of A Champion

What does it truly mean to win? In this episode, we dive into the extraordinary story of Spanish long-distance runner Ivan Fernández Anaya, who had a rare chance to seize victory but chose honor over personal gain. In a 2012 race, Kenyan Olympian Abel Mutai mistakenly stopped short of the finish line—giving Fernández the perfect opportunity to pass him. Instead, he made a split-second decision that sparked a global debate: Was he a fool or a hero?
