Fitness industry BS we're done with EP88
Things we're SICK of hearing in the fitness industry…
“Just eat less and move more.”“No pain, no gain.”“You need to train 6 days a week to see results.”“Carbs make you fat.”“You need to earn your food.”“Start again on Monday.”“Women shouldn't lift heavy weights.”“Here's how to get your pre-baby body back.”
PLEASE. We're over it.
The fitness industry has spent years making women feel like they're not doing enough, eating too much, training too little or constantly needing to fix something about themselves.
And honestly? We're sick of it.
You don't need to punish yourself with exercise, cut out entire food groups, live in the gym or spend your life chasing a smaller body to be healthy.
You can build strength without training every single day.You can enjoy food without feeling guilty. You can have a life outside the gym and STILL make progress. And you can train for a stronger, healthier future without hating the body you have right now.
Fitness should help you LIVE your life, not take it over.
In this episode, we're calling out the advice, myths and ridiculous expectations that need to be left in the past.
What fitness industry saying are YOU sick of hearing?
Let us know in the comments below! We want to hear yours.

Why you start strong and NEVER stick to it EP87
You start every new fitness journey convinced THIS is going to be the one… so why do you keep giving up?
You set the big goals. Plan your workouts. Sort your nutrition. You're motivated, excited and ready to change your life.
Then a few weeks pass, the novelty wears off, the results aren't coming as quickly as you'd hoped, and suddenly you're back to square one.
Sound familiar?
In this episode of My Hormones Make Me a Nutcase, we're talking about why we start health and fitness journeys full of motivation, only to find ourselves quitting a few weeks later.
We're discussing:
Setting unrealistic goals — why trying to change everything overnight can leave you overwhelmed.
Expecting results too quickly — why we give up before we've given ourselves a real chance to see progress.
The novelty wearing off — what happens when fitness stops feeling exciting and starts feeling like effort.
All-or-nothing thinking — why one missed workout or one meal off-plan can make us feel like we've failed completely.
Choosing a plan that doesn't fit your life — why a routine that only works when everything goes perfectly isn't going to last.
Fear of failure AND success — how our own thoughts and expectations can hold us back from making the changes we say we want.
Here's the thing: you don't need more motivation, a stricter diet or another 6-week challenge.
You need realistic goals, a plan that fits your actual life and the ability to keep going when things don't go perfectly.
Stop chasing the perfect start. Start building habits you can sustain.
