Peter Orullian is an American rock musician and author. As a lead vocalist and songwriter, he has collaborated with some of the top names in heavy metal, and now he has teamed up with one of the world's leading fantasy authors, Brandon Sanderson, to create a stunning new trilogy, The Strata Wars.
The first novel, Songs of the Dead, witnesses struggling rock musician Jack Solomon return from the dead after being murdered. In his new reality, he sees that the London he inhabits is merely the top layer overlying many strata, each containing a past era. The souls of the dead can pass between them, but only under the stewardship of a type of necromancer, a powerful sect of whom are bent on raising the dead against the living.

Her debut novel, This is Why I Need You, examines the evolution of long-term friendships, and asks whether shared history is enough to sustain them when the passage of time leads friends in different directions.
The story follows four young women who met at high school as they reunite for their tenth annual girls' trip abroad. But rather than providing an opportunity to relax and reconnect, their getaway quickly descends into recrimination as old resentments, buried secrets, and unresolved personal problems threaten to tear them apart.
Join Alecsandra and Red as they explore the external pressures that come to bear on long-term relationships, and the trauma that leaving things unsaid can inflict on how we feel about our friends, and ourselves.

Melissa Albert has won international acclaim as a children’s author, with her books translated into more than 20 languages. Now, drawing on her experience, and a wide range of classic children’s literature, she has ventured into the realms of adult fiction with her novel The Children.

As well as exploring the human cost of art and celebrity, the novel was inspired by Melissa revisiting some of her favourite childhood books and finding them to be darker than she'd remembered.
