On a very special episode of My Next Question, hosts Amanda Gizzi and Michelle Graff sit down with designer Pamela Froman and Cindy’s daughter Remy Sasha to remember her, as 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of her sudden passing.
They discuss their favorite memories of Cindy, the void her absence has left, what she would think of “dupe culture,” and her ultimate legacy in the jewelry industry.

Diamond Industry Update With David Bonaparte & Ronnie VanderLinden
My Next Question dives back into the diamond world this month with two very special guests: Jewelers of America President and CEO David Bonaparte and World Diamond Council President Ronnie VanderLinden.
David and Ronnie just returned from the World Diamond Congress in Singapore, where conversations about the direction of natural diamond marketing took center stage.
They also provided updates on sanctions and traceability, the upcoming revisions to the Federal Trade Commission’s Jewelry Guides, and their recent trip to Washington, D.C., to lobby for a tariff exemption for diamonds.
Hosts Amanda Gizzi and Michelle Graff discussed the August birthstone debate—spinel or peridot—all of the JA employees who are celebrating birthdays this month, and two other big birthdays happening this year.
Both JA and National Jeweler turned 120 in 2026.
To celebrate, Amanda gave us a history of JA from its founding until now and Michelle read aloud an article from a 1910 issue of National Jeweler about the potential effects of the “horseless vehicle craze” on jewelry sales.

Sally Morrison, natural diamonds lead for De Beers in the U.S., and Julius Klein Vice President Mark Klein join the podcast to talk about April’s birthstone—the diamond.
