I've spent 20 years behind a camera watching people stop performing and finally let themselves be seen. It's the most powerful transition I know.
This podcast is an exploration of that shift. I'm thinking through the stories worth preserving, the art of showing up in your own life, and what it actually takes to create imagery that reflects who you are today-not who you were a decade ago.
Whether you're a founder building a legacy or someone navigating a pivotal transition in your personal life, this is your space to see the value in your own story.
I'm Jennifer Horst, Creative Director of Redhead Creative Media. I help you create visual identities that act as a bridge to your next chapter.
You've spent enough time looking at photos of yourself and feeling like you're looking at a stranger. It's time to see who you've actually become.
If you're ready to stop performing and start showing up in your own story, let's talk about where you are and what you're ready to preserve.
Episode 59 | October 27, 2026
Abstract art means so many things to so many different people. I recently showed a piece I had created on a networking call and got several different responses for what people thought it represented.
What I'm finding is that I go into a painting with one idea in mind, but come out the other side with another.
Which is exactly what another lady on the call said about a painting that she fell in love with by the artist Michelle Collins (https://micheleharveycollinsart.com/).

58 - My first published piece 😱
Episode 58 | October 20, 2026
In this episode, I share some exciting news: my alcohol ink piece, The Emergence, was accepted by Abstractics (https://abstractics.com/) magazine. It's my first published piece as an artist!
I also talk honestly about what this means for the photography side of my business (the short answer: I don't know yet), and why I hope you'll follow whatever creative spark is calling you.

57 - I am an artist & why I'm finally saying it out loud
Episode 57 | October 13, 2026
I spend so much of my time helping other people tell their stories, and I recently realized I haven't done that for myself. In this episode I talk about where that realization took me: back to art.
I talk about my lifelong love of abstract art, playing with alcohol ink, watercolor and calligraphy ink, and finally sharing my work by submitting five pieces to a magazine that goes out to abstract galleries. I also share how this is shaping my business as I shift from personal branding into legacy work and creating art with my clients.
Plus, why I've missed the analog side of creating, from the darkroom to picking up the violin again, and an invitation to explore the art you've been putting off.
