About Mystical/Cynical

Hosted by Daren Magee and Jaymee Carpenter, this podcast is a humorous, sincere, and rare exhibition of male vulnerability and heart-warming friendship, attempting to establish harmonious connections between cynicism and optimism, and the potential of an atheist/agnostic to recognize the mystical qualities within everyday life. Also, fart sounds.

After 5 years and 3 Seasons, we've decided to leave on a loving high note. This show has been an incredible love project over the course of 5 years, our attempt at a love letter to humanity. We both feel there is no other show like this in the world, and we are both so proud of the road map to healing we're leaving behind. We thank you for having us into your minds and hearts, and hope you start your own love projects while you still can. edit/production/opening & closing music by J...

Ep. 37 - "Psychedelic Fragments Of Dualism"

If you interrupt someone mid sentence with a well crafted, witty response, are you truly "Being Here Now"? In this absolute banger of an episode the boys cover topics like the potential of transcending ones nationality, how to heal generational wounds through forgiving the "unforgivable", how to build meaningful relationships with your children, the absurd humor of the Universe's design, the essence of selflessness, and whether there can be an ethical form of suicide. edit/production/...
