The Frequency of Color: Power Clothes, Chakras & Enclothed Cognition
What's the first color you reach for in your closet, and why? This week, the three of us show up unintentionally wearing very different colors and get curious about what's behind those choices. We talk about power outfits, the courtroom navy that gave one of us courage, a New York City black-clothes ninja era, and the colors we avoid and where those aversions come from (any childhood tomboys forced into pink?).
We also dig into "enclothed cognition," the Northwestern study where people performed better wearing a white coat when they believed it was a doctor's coat. From there we move through the chakra colors, share what each one stirs up for us, and talk about using color as a kind of medicine on the days you need a little grounding, joy, or clarity.
Your homework: go through your closet and notice what's there and what's missing, try the hanger-turning trick to see what you actually wear, and then wear something outside your comfort zone and see how the day feels. Your October 2026 Astrology Forecast: Diving Into Your Desires, Values, and Actions
October asks us to look at what we're putting on the bones we built in September. In this episode, Adrienne walks us through the month's astrology, and it's a deep, honest one. Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio on October 3rd, so questions about what we value, what we desire, and what we're worth get a closer look. Along the way we cover Mars in Leo's push to act from the heart, the Libra New Moon on the 10th, Pluto turning direct on the 15th, the rare Venus cazimi on the 23rd, Mercury stationing retrograde on the 24th, and the Taurus Full Moon on the 26th, all leading up to the thin veil on Halloween.

The Cards Decide Our Topic: Letting Go, Respect, Freedom
In this episode, we try something a little different. Instead of planning a topic, we each pulled an oracle card and let the conversation unfold from there. What comes through is a surprisingly cohesive story: letting go, self-respect, and freedom, tied together by the recurring number eight and the symbolism of a lioness and wise elder. The conversation moves through themes of boundaries, using your voice, staying in relationships or patterns that feel familiar but aren't healthy, and the courage it takes to be seen as your full, authentic self. We also pull in the Dragon card as a supplemental read, exploring how the fierce, untamed parts of ourselves can mature into the quieter, more grounded strength of the lioness: someone who doesn't need to fight to be respected. The episode closes with reflections on the daily practice of noticing when you feel truly free, and letting those moments guide you forward.
