Sein Buch „Über das Sterben“ wurde zum Wissensbuch des Jahres 2012 gekürt. Er kämpft für eine differenzierte Betrachtungsweise der Sterbehilfe und hat maßgeblich daran Anteil, dass Palliativmedizin seit 2009 Pflichtfach im Medizinstudium ist.</p> <p>Aber er schaut nicht nur auf das Sterben, sondern auch auf die Zeit davor: „Die Midlifecrisis beginnt dann, wenn wir glauben, dass die Arbeit Sinn in unser Leben bringt“.</p> <p>Ein Gespräch über das Leben und das Sterben.</p>
