It’s hard not to feel like the people of Missouri are better off when the legislators aren’t in session!

We’ve seen so many things pushed through this session, all in the name of “the people”. And yet, we’re still waiting for the “fix” to Amendment 3 and IP Reform; the two things we’ve been promised since the beginning of session were a “top priority”.

Are the legislators that out of touch with us common folk? Or are they that much smarter than us that they can see what we can’t? Or, are they so caught up in their position that the wrath of We the People is much less intimidating than the wrath of the Powers That Be?

Lisa from Shield Maidens of MO has taken a lot of slack for calling things out. But I for one am so incredibly grateful for the work that she does to fight on our behalf. Even though often times we don’t deserve it because we just rely on others to stand up for us, she continues to push forward because her calling came not from the people but from THE King! And when THE King calls, you better come running!

Lisa discusses how people can get involved the last two weeks of session and what to be on the lookout for (bills that are in conference). Click here to see it on the House website and here to see it on the Senate website (you’ll scroll almost to the bottom). You will be looking at the Bill Calendars. This is a great page to bookmark so you can reference it often to see what bills are coming through in the future.

Please consider gathering some other individuals in your county to rotate being up at the Capitol whenever the legislators are in session the last two weeks of session. That would be 5/5-5/16. You can find the House and Senate session schedules on their websites.

Tom and I discussed a troubling mental health bill. You can reference that here.

You can also reference the sections of the MO Constitution that he discussed re 2A rights and the single subject rule in the pictures below. Or, if you want to look up the actual constitution you can find that here. Amendment 1 Sec. 23 (2nd amendment); Amendment 3 Sec. 21&23 (single subject bills).

Also what I find troubling is the ballot language from 2014 when Missourians voted to approve giving the GA the authority to infringe on our 2A rights if having a mental disorder. As you can see, there was NO mention of this on the actual ballot question.

It was included in the Fair Ballot Language which is often off to the side at your polling place but it seems to me like that should have been on the actual ballot since it’s literally taking away rights that you’re supposedly voting to keep!

Again, this is why it is SO important to KNOW what you’re voting on BEFORE you go vote! There’s no reason in our time of information on demand to not be educated on these things. I don’t care who’s “in charge”, t is our responsibility to protect what God has given us for generations to come!

And as always, remember to pray!

Make sure to join me next week as I talk with a special guest to discuss the REAL ID program.

Thanks for reading Nadine@9’s Substack!
MO Constitution discussion begins 15:00

Tom Martz has spent the past several years learning about the Missouri constitution and trying to educate citizens and legislators on what it means to legislate constitutionally.

Unfortunately, many legislators don’t seem to care to uphold the constitution as much as much as they care about pushing through whatever agenda the lobbyists want that session.

All legislators take an oath to uphold the constitution…if only they were actually required to read it!

We desperately need men and women who are grounded in the constitution to run for office to represent we the people correctly. To understand their main responsibility is to protect our rights not continuously try to “keep us safe” at the expense of liberty and the expanse of their pocket books and egos.

If you’re interested in learning more about the MO Constitution, I highly recommend getting in touch with Tom.

Facebook. X/Twitter. Legiscore website.

You can also hear him on Friday mornings 7am-8am on KSGF radio and the 1st Tuesday of the month 6:30pm-8:30pm on the Missouri Liberty Report.

Or you can subscribe to his Substack!

Thanks for reading Nadine@9’s Substack!
Just a few days until the municipal elections! Tuesday, April 8th.

While these elections are technical nonpartisan, it’s still very important to know who you’re electing to govern over you. Our country only works when there are checks and balances keeping the government from usurping your rights!

Even and especially on the city level, those you elect need to be held accountable. It is up to us to know who is running, find out who they are, and what they stand for. Morals and character are not partisan issues!

I would encourage you to look up your sample ballot on your county’s website so you are better prepared to vote on Tuesday and GO VOTE!

If you would like to contact Dan you can reach him via his fb page.

Sample ballot for Camden County here.

Sample ballot for Miller County here.
