<p><strong>&#39;White Nanny, Black Child&#39; is a documentary about West African children (many Nigerian) who were privately fostered by White British families in a practice known as &#39;farming&#39;. </strong></p><p><strong>The documentary won the 2024 BAFTA Television Award for Specialist Factual amongst other awards.</strong></p><p>It is believed that over 70,000 West African children were &#39;farmed&#39; between 1950s - 1990; some of the children returned to their families and sadly some did not.</p><p>My guests Kunle &amp; Ore Kaffo featured in the documentary and graciously agreed to share their story with me in this very interesting episode, listen in and share your thoughts in the comments.</p><p>Ore has written a book about her experience called &#39;Knocked 4 Six: Going from Hopeless to Hopeful&#39; which can be purchased on Amazon using the link below: </p><p>https://amzn.eu/d/0hXqLdeq</p><p>&#39;White Nanny, Black Child&#39; documentary is still available to watch in the United Kingdom on Channel 5 until 2027.</p><p></p>
