Can you walk with a few and make them what they did not ask to be made? In today's episode we speak about the great commission of discipleship and how we are not merely called to gather believers; we are commissioned to make disciples. We come to church to make disciples. True leadership transcends emotions. The question is not; follow me I will make you, but rather the question is; how do I make disciples? Follow me= Relationship, I will make you = formation, fishers of men = mission. Follow me don't follow what I give you. Following God is a daily choice. The calling of God does not call you when things are already shining. Your calling will force you out of a place of comfort and into places that make you uncomfortable. We leave you with this closing reflection - make disciples, make room for people, make time to teach, make relationships that endure, make a family that cares, make disciples who will make disciples. Who Do You Say He Is?
It is the job of your life to find the revelation of who God is. In today's episode we ask you the question, who is God to you? The presence of God is the greatest corrector in your life. Sometimes there are people in your life who only want you to be a messenger. People sometimes just want the message and not the messenger. Sometimes people just want someone to cry on. If you gather with the general public, what about the special anointing and revelation God has given you? Testimony is knowing who God is when everything did not go well. A testimony does not deny the wound; it refuses to let the wound define God. Takashi Nagai - God is still God among the ashes. Corrie Ten Boom - The kingdom I preach must become visible in me. Welcome Home
There is nothing that the world can chain you with that praise cannot release you from. In today's episode we talk about family. Your gift is amplified in the house of the Lord. There is a difference between attending and belonging. A tourist enters the church with a red pen, but a family member enters the church for God. First step to belonging; You cant continue being a church hopper. Belonging alerts God, the level of maturity and loyalty in your life. The enemy can force us and keep attending church but not belong. Home cells are where people know you, notice your gifts and people pray for you. Key Scriptures are 1 Samuel 7:12-13, Acts 2:42-47, 1 PETER 4:10
