Philippians: In Humility, Value Others | Paul Kunert
What does it actually look like to step down from our need for status and put the good of others before our own?
In this week’s message, Paul Kunert takes us through Philippians 2:1–11. It's a passage that is remarkably simple to understand, yet deeply challenging to put into practice. Seeing how Christ's ultimate descent from equality with God down to death on a cross, we reflect on Paul’s practical appeal in verses 3–4: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
We look at how setting aside our own self-interest is about embracing the radical, self-giving posture of Jesus himself in our daily relationships and community.

Philippians: Citizens of Heaven | Daniel Leeves
How do we live with unwavering purpose and steady hope when the world around us feels increasingly uncertain and complex?
In this message, Dan walks us through Philippians 1:27–30, unpacking Paul's challenge to "conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ"—or more literally, to live as true citizens of the gospel. Dan explores this passage through three distinct lenses:
First, we look at the original text, where Paul encourages a suffering church in a Roman colony to stand firm together in the face of intense opposition.
Second, we zoom into our ordinary lives, asking honest questions about where our allegiance lies. Whether we truly allow Jesus to be Lord over our choices, or whether we quietly crave autonomy and self-reliance.
Finally, we zoom out to our present uncertain times. Surrounded by the pressures of the climate emergency, the rise of A.I. and the rumours of war, Paul’s charge rings out with great clarity: Whatever happens... live as citizens of heaven.

Philippians: To live is Christ, to die is gain | Simon Lang
In this third part of our Philippians series, Simon dives into Philippians 1:12–26 to unpack one of the most iconic verses Paul's letter: "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain."
As we look at the verse it requires us to consider deeply Paul's perspective on life and in so doing Simon challenges and exhorts us to truly treasure the Treasure. How delighting in Christ above all else is where we discover real, abiding life today.
