Each year, thousands of lives are lost and countless more are injured due to drivers being distracted by their phones, eating while driving, or other behaviors behind the wheel. In April during Distracted Driving Awareness Month, it's a great time to remember that we all have an obligation to ensure we drive as safely as possible every time we get behind the wheel. </p><br><p>But fleet operators have an even greater duty to ensure their drivers are not driving distracted- because they face liability issues and legal challenges if they don't have strong policies and standards that address the issue with their drivers.
