"Can You Fart Your Organs Out?"

Let's talk about farts, baby! This scholarly and esoteric episode is all about our favorite little biological trumpets. Garrett & Melissa spare no details on all their thoughts about fart etiquette & comfortability with your partner, public gas espionage, and how to navigate a modern romance when neither partner likes to hold it in. Garrett is surprised to learn there are long tenured couples who've never passed gas in front of each other, talks about why no one should never hold in a fart, and shares his practically scientific theory about hot wind passing. Melissa dishes on covert farting at the store, questions why "bless you" only applies to sneezing, and ponders if powerful farts are capable of causing bodily harm. Get out your notepads for this crash course and prepare to be enlightened on episode 7 of Never Date a Therapist!

Have a question you'd like to ask a Therapist (or the other guy)? At the End of the Day, it's Still a Woman

We're back! After a little sick break, Garrett and Melissa are back on the mics with episode 6. In this episode, they discuss what it's actually like dating a therapist and how Melissa's therapy career has had an effect on their relationship. The two discuss how professional and personal lives can influence each other, beginning a relationship at the start of COVID, and the importance of utilizing "skills" when in a disagreement with your partner. Garrett teaches Melissa what a bowstaff is, investigates who invented Karate, and explains the origin of the term "meme." They also discuss the effect doomscrolling is having on Gen Z, the potential banning of TikTok, and how adolescent self-harm is correlated with the rise of social media. All of this and more, on episode 6 of Never Date a Therapist!

Have a question you'd like to ask a Therapist (or the other guy)? You're Not Supposed to Laugh at That

When does a joke go too far? In episode 5, Garrett discusses how dark humor has helped him take back power over difficult events in his life, and how comedians like Bill Burr and Shane Gillis are able to expertly craft jokes around uncomfortable topics. The couple address Kathy Griffin's Donald Trump publicity stunt, the difference between a dark joke and a shock statement, and why nobody can tell another person what they can't laugh at. Garrett recalls his first trip to the ER and his terrible experience with an inappropriate fire medic, and Melissa explores how Garrett edits his thoughts before speaking. The two discuss humanity's morality instinct, cancel culture, the importance of learning to be gracious with yourself and others, and how to take control of your thoughts.
