[…] And of course, if you really dig into it with them, Cambodians know there are differences between, say, German and UK donors, but they use these regional development models, or I call them imaginaries, strategically. For instance, in the U.S. organization, they actually reject some of the U.S.'s program activities that want them to help the state regulate the private health sector because they say they don't want a private health system that's too expensive like America has. They want to follow in the footsteps of a strong public health system like South Korea or Japan.
