[…] And for me, that felt really strange. It felt good, but it felt very, very open. And so I did a lot more walking and talking, catching up with old friends and I was catching up with a classical guitarist friend of mine, and I said, I want to write some etudes or studies that are more geared toward intermediate to advanced players. And I hadn't really fleshed it out yet, but just like a series of five or six of those. And he's like, yeah, you should totally do it. He's like, I'll put them in our library when you publish them and that kind of thing. So it was just fun. So each of them has a certain either technical or musical instruction that the student has to master, whether it be slurs or counterpoint or polyphony or something like that. […]
