It Is Finished. He Is Risen. We Are Redeemed
Episode Title: “It Is Finished – But He’s Not Done” Podcast: Everyday Faith – From New Life Baptist Church In this special Easter episode, Pastor Mike walks us through the suffering, sacrifice, and ultimate victory of Jesus Christ. With hearts turned to Isaiah 53, we behold the Lamb of God, “wounded for our transgressions… bruised for our iniquities” (Isaiah 53:5, KJV). We trace the agony of the cross, the betrayal, the beatings, and the silence of a Savior who endured it all — not because He had to, but because He loved us. From Luke 22:44, where Jesus sweat great drops of blood in Gethsemane, to John 19:30, where He cried, “It is finished,” we see that Christ didn’t make a down payment on salvation — He paid it in full. We explore the depth of Christ’s love and the completeness of His work: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree…” (1 Peter 2:24, KJV). “He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin…” (2 Corinthians 5:21, KJV). And yet, the cross is not the end. Luke 24:6 declares, “He is not here, but is risen.” The empty tomb is the Father’s “Amen” to the Son’s “It is finished.” Whether you’ve known Christ for years or are still unsure of your salvation, this message reminds us all: we do not serve a dead Savior — we serve a risen King. Key Scriptures: Isaiah 53:3–7 – The Suffering Servant Luke 22:41–44 – Agony in Gethsemane Matthew 27:26–30 – The Scourging and Mocking Luke 23:33–34 – The Crucifixion John 19:30 – “It is finished” Luke 24:6 – “He is not here, but is risen.” 2 Corinthians 5:21, Galatians 3:13, Romans 6:14 – Christ’s complete payment Theme: Salvation is not on layaway. The work is finished. The tomb is empty. The Savior lives. Now is the time to respond.

Walking with Hope: The Road to Emmaus
🎙 Episode Title: “Walking with Hope: The Road to Emmaus” Podcast: Everyday Faith – From New Life Baptist Church This week’s message explores one of the most tender and revealing post-resurrection encounters in Scripture — Luke 24:13–35 — where two discouraged disciples walk away from Jerusalem without hope… until Jesus draws near. “And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.” (Luke 24:15–16, KJV) As we walk this dusty road with them, we see a picture of doubt, discouragement, and unmet expectations — and then the Savior shows up. Jesus doesn’t just rebuke them for their unbelief; He walks with them, teaches them from the Old Testament, and opens their eyes at the breaking of bread. Key Takeaways: God still walks with doubters. Faith does not come by signs, but by Scripture: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17, KJV) Jesus is revealed not in miracles, but through the Word of God. When the Scriptures are opened, “did not our heart burn within us?” (Luke 24:32, KJV) The resurrection is not just historical — it is personal, powerful, and life-changing. Pastor Mike takes us deep into the Old Testament prophecies Jesus may have shared: from the seed of the woman in Genesis 3, to the Passover Lamb, the scapegoat, and Psalm 22, to Isaiah 53 — all pointing to Christ crucified and risen again. Whether you’re burdened with doubt, burned by unmet expectations, or simply need to remember why we gather every Sunday — this message will re-center your hope in the risen, present Savior. Highlighted Scriptures (KJV): Luke 24:13–35 – The Road to Emmaus 1 Corinthians 15:13–20 – If Christ be not risen… Isaiah 53 – The Suffering Servant Romans 10:17 – Faith by hearing the Word John 20:29 – “Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” Theme: The risen Christ still meets us in our confusion, walks with us in our doubt, and reveals Himself through His Word. Don’t miss Him — listen for His voice and let your heart burn again.
