Today’s reading brings us back to Acts 2:22–41, but today the focus tightens on the final verses of Peter’s sermon. The Jesus they rejected is the One God exalted. The One they condemned, God vindicated. The One they crucified, heaven enthroned. And when that truth lands, the crowd is cut to the heart. Their understanding of Jesus is overturned, and suddenly they realize the One they rejected is the only One who can save them.
Peter’s answer is not complicated: repent. Don’t simply add Jesus to your schedule—turn from the old life and walk toward Him. And then comes the incredible promise: the Holy Spirit is not reserved for a spiritual elite. This gift is extended to ordinary people, families, generations, and all whom the Lord calls. So today, read Acts 2:22–41 and pray for hearts to be pierced, repentance to come, grace to be received, and souls to be gathered.

Today’s reading takes us to Zechariah 12–13:1, where prophecy looks forward to the One who would be pierced and to the deep conviction that would follow. God promises protection, but then the tone shifts from victory to mourning as His people recognize the weight of what has been done. Nearly five centuries before the cross, Zechariah points toward the suffering Messiah and the grief that comes when sin is finally seen for what it is.
But Zechariah does not leave us in conviction. Chapter 13 opens with a fountain—cleansing made available for sin and impurity. Conviction cannot cleanse us; it can only drive us to the One who can. So today, read Zechariah 12–13:1 and remember: the gospel is not merely that we feel the weight of our sin, but that Jesus has opened a fountain where guilty people can be washed clean.

Today’s reading takes us to Romans 6, where Paul makes something clear: the Christian life is not behavior modification—it is resurrection life. In Christ, the old self has died, the authority of sin has been broken, and we now live under a new Master. Paul’s call is not merely to “try harder,” but to recognize what has already happened: you died with Christ, you were raised with Christ, and sin no longer owns you.
Romans 6 reminds us that our identity has changed, so our lives should change with it. We are no longer meant to present our minds, eyes, hands, feet, or bodies as instruments of unrighteousness. We belong to the One who redeemed us. So today, read Romans 6 and ask the question Paul asks: what fruit did the old life ever produce? Then have the funeral. Stop identifying with the person Christ already put to death, and live like someone who has been raised to walk in newness of life.
