On this episode of the New Roots Community Radio Hour, we interview the first ever Executive Director for New Roots CO, Evan "Lanny" Ellis. Lanny has a wide variety of experience paired with a passion for growing plants and feeding people that makes him a strong positive force for the food movement in the Eagle River Valley and beyond. New Roots CO is a local Colorado non-profit that focuses on solutions to bridge the gap between the food waste in this country and the dire need for food. Our physical work may be located in Colorado, but this is work that is needed all over the country. Every other week on Thursday we host a local radio show in which we bring local experts on areas pertaining to food, waste, and sustainability to share their knowledge to benefit everyone.
