The Robe, The Ring And The Shoes

The Robe, The Ring, and The Shoes

On offer this week? An excerpt from Diagrams For Living by Emmet Fox. This illuminating work presents a deep metaphysical analysis of one of the Bible’s most beloved stories: the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32). Moving beyond a surface level story about failure, forgiveness, and redemption, Fox explores it as an allegory for the soul’s lonely journey from separation to salvation through unity with "the father".

The title refers to the symbolic meaning behind the father’s gifts to his redeemed son. We could tell you what those symbols mean, but that would defeat the point of listening, wouldn't it?

As always, Fox offers a clear, structured interpretation that turns an ancient allegory into a practical guide for personal growth, purposeful thinking, and inspired acting in the modern world. If nothing else, Emmet Fox presents a timeless exploration of human psychology and family dynamics.

Notes: Cover art produced New Thought Academy. Power by Walter C. Lanyon

If you're ever in need of a reminder of what true power is and where you can find it, go read Walter C. Lanyon.

Spoiler: Power is not material means or might, but the quiet realization of truth.

Fortunately for us, Walter Lanyon's power continues to resonate through his written works and the simplicity of the message therein contained. This one is a bonus for supporters, made possible with speech synthesis, but any and all can find the text version online for free.

P.S. To further emphasize his presence/message, we colorized and upscaled one of the few known photos of WCL. Also, thanks to our production partner, Corbett & Brewer.

Be Master of the Mood by Neville Goddard

Show Notes: "Be Master of the Mood", A Neville Goddard lecture dramatized because...who likes to enjoy weekends anyway?

Well, the holidays are over. And instead of relaxing over the weekend, Tovah decided it would be a good idea for us to do a full cast production of a classic Neville Goddard lecture… using only text-to-speech voices. Basically, she chose a bit of torture. But only a bit because this isn't the full lecture.

The lecture, “Be Master of the Mood,” features some fun success stories from people who used his teachings and shared the results.

A writer, annoyed by imaginary wet paint and nosy painters, gets an unexpected $21,000 check the next day. A two-year-old, refusing to accept the stuffed bear her grandma sent, insists so hard on her kangaroo that one mysteriously arrives from Australia.

This isn't the full lecture, just the most practical takeaways presented in a way that makes these stores feel more tangible.

The practical takeaway is “mood mastery.” If you can’t shift a negative state by sheer will, try to recall a joyful memory until you feel its mood. Or, like the writer, use a peculiar negative twist (annoyance at a long bank line for a *big deposit*) to fuel the desired feeling. Whatever floats your boat.

As always, Neville reminds us that knowing what to do and doing it are two different. Give his methods a try, you just may be sharing a success story of your own.

P.S. This production is in line with the original lecture, but the agent is a woman's voice because...it was more fun.
