[…] We found that there were more than 60 journalists who were imprisoned and released during this period. One of them, unfortunately, we were not able to interview because he was killed after he was out of the prison. His name is Ismail El Ghul, a journalist from Gaza who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza. Five journalists declined speaking to us in fear of retaliation, and 59 journalists spoke to us about their mistreatment inside the prison. Through in-depth interviews with those journalists and through evidence they were able to provide to us, whether it was pictures or medical reports, we have documented 58 counts of mistreatment, abuse and or torture.
