<p>Trong tập này tôi xin trình bày một ví dụ về cách estimate cho 1 dự án migration từ VB6 lên VB.NET hoặc từ VB.Net cũ lên VB.NET mới nhất.<br>Ở các dự án này cơ bản input chúng ta dùng để estimate là toàn bộ tài liệu và source code của hệ thống cũ tức hệ thống hiện tại mà khách hàng đang sử dụng. Phương pháp luận là chúng ta migrate dùng chính là công cụ có sẵn của Microsoft Visual Studio. Về Test thì vì là dự án migration nên chủ yếu là test compare hệ thống cũ mới.</p>

NTP 064 Project Estimation - Phương pháp Estimation theo Items & Events
<p>Trong tập này tôi xin giới thiệu đến các bạn một ví dụ khác nữa về phương pháp estimation theo items và events. <br>Về đếm số items và với mỗi level số items hay với mỗi loại items ta quy ra số LOCs bao nhiêu tôi đã trình bày ở tập về phương pháp estimation theo số LOCs rồi. Thật ra nếu đặt tên đúng thì tập về estimation theo số LOCs đặt là theo items và events cũng không sai vì bản chất là ta count số item, loại items, count số button cho các xử lý tức là count các event rồi nhưng cách đó chỉ phù hợp khi chúng ta có đủ thông tin về các màn hình, batch và report khi thực hiện estimation.</p>

Phương pháp này phù hợp với các dự án mà thời điểm làm estimation chưa có input rõ ràng như chưa có thông tin Locs, chưa có layout màn hình, chưa,v.v.. thường chỉ được dùng để estimate sơ bộ bản draft, sau khi có input đầy đủ hoặc xong phase requirement thì sẽ thực hiện re-estimate.<br></p>
