Former communist countries like Poland seem to offer a level of freedom that is becoming increasingly rare in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.</p> <p>My guest today, Andrew, left a successful and enviable academic career in London to travel across Europe. Five years later he chose to make Poland his new home. We talked about the reasons why, the state of English language instruction here and prospects for Poland to shape the narrative about itself instead of relying on hostile, foreign media.</p>
