The podcasts are made by international film- and tv maker Jan-Willem Bult. The last years he works mainly abroad and has already created media in 65 countries and lectured and trained about it. From 1997 to 2013 he was responsible for KRO Netherlands Public Broadcasting youth programming. In this period he created and (co-) produced more then 125 films, programs and series and was closely involved in the making and adaptation of the soundtracks. That is when he also started to collect soundtracks of other films and since 2010 presenting them on national radio NPO Radio 1. Now and then he also plays filmmusic at filmfestivals. Besides his current film- and tv work he also leads since 2014 WADADA News for Kids, a worldwide cooperation and exchange of special news bulletins for children or youth that connects already 21 countries.

On 6 June 2020 at the age of 91 Italian composer/conductor Ennio Morricone passed away. Known for film classics such as Once Upon A Time In The West, The Mission, Cinema Paradiso. But his unmeasurable oeuvre also contains small films, unknown films, failed films, sometimes obscur films that he worked on with the same passion and innovation. From ‘Flesh + Blood’ to 'Robocop' to ‘Elle’. Verhoeven worked together with composers such as Jerry Goldsmith, Anne Dudley en Basil Poledouris. Paul Verhoeven himself can also be heard in this podcast in a fragment of an interview that then KRO-colleague Martijn Grimmius and I made in 2012. Verhoeven talks about his cooperation with Jerry Goldsmith for 'Basic Instinct'.
