My life reflected in music:
I lost countless friends, classmates and associates before I even reached the age of 19, all to tragedies. Totally emotionally overwhelming. It had a profound impact on my life, and no one helped when I told them. It makes the medical field very uncomfortable to be told of so many losses. Additionally, 3 acquaintances of mine were murdered young, and so was a former friend's dad when I was 24. A formerly close family friend's brother was a homeless veteran when he was beaten to death by several people, and her grandpa lost his life in the bar he owned when she was still a kid. Also lost a favorite teacher and my friends' parents/classmates' parents, ]plural] when I was still a child, and had to go to all their funerals! The others were lost when I was still under age 21. Lost both grandpas in early childhood. Then, lost my only brother and mother at the same time on Sept 26, 2021. to SRO crowd. Into the final months of the tumultuous 1960's tumbled Wendy W.
She lost her older and only brother to a supposed suicide on Sept 24, 2O21. He was 53 years old. Her mother, Celine (nee Walko) passed away less than two days later.
She later wrote that she took 197Os barrettes with her when she moved..

A prolific, published writer from childhood, she would expand on the scenes in tv, film and books, such as "Oliver Twist", by adding stories to explain Nancy's childhood while acting out both gender roles.
At the age of 16, she played Mrs. Bedwin in a production of "Oliver!"
Wendy W is descended on her mother's side from wealthy landowners who had peasants working their land in Dresden, Germany. Her Maternal Great Grandparents were mostly born in Austria, except for Mary Slaninka, great grandmother, born near presov, Slovakia, in 1884.

She suffered extreme, tragic, early losses from the age of 3, having lost over 15 young friends, parents of friends, and associates before she reached the age of 21. much of which is reflected in her original music and the songs she chooses to cover. She also wrote her first novel at the age of 19, a mostly-autobiographical account of her losses and experiences with punk rock. It was chosen for publication in England several years later, and made several who read it cry for their relation to the material.
Leaving home at age 17, she began writing songs at age 19 after a period of total despair and trauma, isolating herself in her bedroom with a stereo and cassette recorder, emerging in November of 1991 with songs written.
