Hi everyone, my name is Britt. I'm a visual artist living and working in Oakland. A big part of my life is sobriety, and what life looks like as a result. A quick explanation of the title: "No Cap" means "no B.S." Personally, I can get impatient with small talk. Sobriety demands rigorous honesty, and I really value that in myself and others. I want to KNOW people. So, the purpose of this podcast is to shine a light on my immediate community (Bay Area) and talk about things that matter to them, and what shaped them as individuals. There's also an interactive element called "Ask it Basket".

Josefin Lundahl

Josefin is an Art Historian, Curator, and Creative Producer here in SF. This episode is full of advice for artists, so if you're a creative, don't skip it. We chat about the art market, large-scale art installations, and art school. I made up a word, "famiosity," you are welcome to make it a thing:) We discuss influence & originality and "life experience as education." We discover neither one of us can pronounce a French word correctly, and we are done trying. If you feel like helping us out, please throw out some titles for the TV show we imagine Josefin stars in as a forgery fed. I'm playing the role of forger, naturally. Enjoy this episode with Josefin Lundahl, and thank you for listening!

Suki Jones

A terrifically honest and open interview with Suki about her addiction memoir, "Sea, Swallow Me." I read it in 24 hours, and I found it to be a wonderful encapsulation of what addiction is like and what comes after. We laugh hysterically over how we CANNOT stop ourselves from telling random people we are sober (BevMo hates to see us coming), how music anchors us in time, how we absolutely wear out songs by obsessive repetition, and our gratitude for how drastically our lives have changed. I do feel it's important to put a warning on this episode: we talk about drugs, alcohol, eating disorders, and sexual assault. And despite all those heavy topics, I promise, this is an episode worth tuning into.

Halloween Special With Amol & KT

We went into this Halloween Horror Movie Special with a list of five horror movies curated by a friend of No Cap, Matty Clark. We all watched Barbarian, Terrified, Bring Her Back, Dead Alive and Black Christmas (1974.) We have no qualifications to critique movies, other than a shared love of horror. I think there's more laughing on this epidsode than ever before- we found out which horror movies shaped our young brains: KT's was Carrie, Amol's was Alligator, and mine was the made for TV movie IT. We also come to find out that in Amol's opinion, there's "seasons" for candy, and it is acceptable only to purchase candy from now until January 1st. Listen for our takes on these five films, plus many other side quests. Welcome to Season 3!!!
