About No Contxt

No Contxt is a mother-daughter podcast that started at the Waldorf Astoria Biltmore—because naturally. We’re best friends from Iowa, now split between Texas and Arizona, proving long distance and a Millennial/Gen X gap don’t stand a chance against FaceTimes and text messages and strong opinions. We talk family, life lessons, relationships, pop culture, and personal growth—sharing advice, real stories, and what we’re still figuring out. No outline. No pretending. Just real dialogue. Welcome to No Contxt.

   26. Hot Takes, Comparison Culture & the Empathy Problem (Late Release)

This week on No Contxt, we're talking about something that seems to be everywhere lately: the lack of empathy. Why does it feel like every struggle turns into a competition? Why are we so quick to compare experiences instead of simply listening? We also get into surviving another Arizona summer, because when it's 115 degrees outside, patience seems to disappear right along with common sense. From comparison culture to hot takes to actual heat, we're unpacking why it's become so hard to give people a little grace—and why maybe we need more of it.
