In our final session of season one, we're looking at self-compassion. Why is it that we're often much harder on ourselves that we are on others? What barriers stop us from being kinder to ourselves? And is cake the answer? (spoiler - cake is always the answer). If you feel you have no idea when it comes to self-compassion, join Emily and Nathan as they explore what self-compassion means, and offer some tips on how to be more compassionate to the most important person in your world - you.

Episode 7: Who Do I Think I Am? Managing Imposter Syndrome

Imposter Syndrome affects around 76% of people at some point in their lives. And yet, due to the nature of it, we don't like to talk about how it affects us. We think it's about time that changed and we started sharing more of our experiences of Imposter Syndrome. Well, one of us does. Episode 6: Know Means No - Knowing When to Say No and Hold Your Boundaries

We can't really talk about mental health and not talk about boundaries. They're the hidden factor when it comes to positive mental health, affecting self-care, stress levels and relationships. It's also something we're not really ever taught, and we may not have had healthy boundaries mirrored for us. That makes it much harder to recognise both the importance of healthy boundaries, and how to put them in place. In this episode Nathan and Emily are going to unpick the complexities when it comes to setting and maintaining healthy boundaries, via the obvious and perfectly reasonable routes of Tom Grennan, consent, the Alton Towers rollercoaster Nemesis, and British culture at large. They'll also be giving you tips for how to set healthier boundaries if this is something that you struggle with. As an added bonus, find out which of the two failed GCSE Art at school!
