Το ημερολόγιο δείχνει 30 Δεκεμβρίου 2019. Λίγο πριν από τα μεσάνυχτα, στο αγκυροβόλιο του Λίμπο, δυόμισι ναυτικά μίλια μακριά από τις ακτές του Καμερούν, μια μικρή βάρκα κυκλώνει αναγνωριστικά το ελληνικής σημαίας δεξαμενόπλοιο Happy Lady. Μια αυτοσχέδια σκάλα γαντζώνεται στα ρέλια. Στο κατάστρωμα πατούν πειρατές, οπλισμένοι και ανενόχλητοι. Δεν τους απασχολεί το φορτίο, δεν αναζητούν κάποιον θησαυρό. Τους ενδιαφέρει μόνο το πλήρωμα.

Οι οκτώ απαχθέντες ναυτικοί του Happy Lady (πέντε Έλληνες, δύο Φιλιππινέζοι και ένας Ουκρανός) επιβιβάζονται στην πολυεστερική βάρκα των πειρατών. Τους περιμένει μακρύ ταξίδι. Έχουν να καλύψουν μια απόσταση πολλών ναυτικών μιλίων, προορισμός είναι η ζούγκλα της Νιγηρίας.Διάφορες μακάβριες σκέψεις βασανίζουν τους ομήρους. 03. Η ΚΑΛΥΒΑ ΣΤΗ ΖΟΥΓΚΛΑ
Έπειτα από μια περιπετειώδη περιπλάνηση 20 ωρών στη θάλασσα οι απαχθέντες ναυτικοί πατούν σε στέρεο έδαφος. Βαθιά στη ζούγκλα της Νιγηρίας, χωρίς επαφή με τον έξω κόσμο ο χρόνος κυλά βασανιστικά. Η καλύβα όπου κρατούνται δεν έχει τοίχους, παρά μόνο μια υποτυπώδη σκεπή. Τριγύρω τους πυκνή βλάστηση. Πόσο θα παραμείνουν εκεί και σε ποιους άλλους κινδύνους είναι εκτεθειμένοι;
