Born in Gaborone, Botswana in 1995, Blessing was a migrant to England at 5 years old. She was a triple-threat (singing, dancing, acting) performing RnB songs in her living room. Her uncle was a Rapper and she would study the structure of RnB and Rap songs, writing and performing them at every chance she could find.
In 2014 she set off to the University of Warwick in pursuit of a career at the English Bar. For a long while, she focused on academics and extracurriculars, swapping the theatre for moot court and her piano keys for a MacBook. Inspired by Nicki Minaj’s 2014 PinkPrint album, Blessing began to write rap lyrics again, sharing her music at a few campus events to great reception.
By the time of the first Lockdown in 2020, Blessing was well on her way to becoming a Barrister. The time alone pushed Blessing back into her safest and most creative space: her bedroom. There and on long walks she reclaimed her cypher, picking up a flow inspired by classic East Coast Hip Hop and Nicki Minaj.
