Come Then, Ye Men Of Cumberland: Richard Levick, 3rd New Jersey Volunteers
in September of 1862, Private Richard Levick sit recovering from wounds he would receive at the Battle of Gaines' Mill in June. while recovering, Levick will write to the West Jersey Pioneer after seeing an issue with the published rolls of new companies of men from Cumberland County mustering in to what will be the 24th New Jersey Volunteers. However, Levick writes this more as a grievance of not having the decimated ranks an existing company replenished especially when those units being raised were only going to serve 9 months while He and his comrades had been in for 16 months to that point. Richard will eventually return to his Company, The Cumberland Greys and continue to serve with them until they are consolidated into a company of the 15th New Jersey after reenlisting in 1864. At the Battle of Third Winchester on September 19th 1864 Richard Levick would be killed during the New Jersey Brigades counter attack. Unfortunately, where He is burried remains unknown.

Fighting For History: The Removal of Interpretive Markers At The President's House Site, Philadelphia. A Conversation With Ivan F. Ingraham
This episode is a response to the removal of Interpretive markers regarding the 9 Enslaved individuals at the The President's House Site in Philadelphia. I sit down with Author Ivan F. Ingraham to talk about the red flags that are being raised in the History Community as well as the publics reaction of removal of what is seen as "Unfavorable History" by the Trump Administration at National Parks and Historic sites that will soon spread across the Country. Ivan and I sat down for about an hour to talk about this situation, its potential ripple effect and the mirror of the removal of Confederate Monuments, and the importance of telling every part of American History no matter how ugly and uncomfortable it may make us feel.
