   ONE GOD, ALL NATIONS |

ONE GOD, ALL NATIONS | Revelation 7:9 Different nations. Different languages. Different backgrounds. But one God, one gospel, and one promise of salvation. In Revelation 7:9, John sees a great multitude standing before the throne of God, made up of people from every nation, kindred, people, and tongue. Despite their different backgrounds, they're united in worship, celebrating the salvation they've received through Jesus Christ. In this special All Nations Service at Northern Rivers Pentecostal Church, we celebrate the different cultures and nationalities represented in our church family while exploring something far more important than where we come from: where we're going. The Bible tells us that God has made all nations of one blood (Acts 17:26). Regardless of our nationality, culture, or upbringing, we all share the same need for God's forgiveness and salvation. Jesus Christ came into the world to make that salvation available to everyone. Jesus told Nicodemus that we must be born again of water and of the Spirit (John 3:3-5). On the Day of Pentecost, Peter explained how to respond to the gospel through repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38). And this promise wasn't just for those gathered in Jerusalem. Acts 2:39 declares, "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Whether you've grown up in church, recently begun seeking God, or have never experienced the new birth, this message is a reminder that God's promise is still available today. Our calling isn't simply to celebrate the nations, but to reach the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. One God. One gospel. One promise. And that promise is for you. PRAY EARLY

Psalm 63 says, “Early will I seek thee.” We often hear that and think about getting up early in the morning to pray. That’s good, but in this message, “pray early” is about giving prayer a place in our lives before something goes wrong. Jesus told His disciples to watch and pray before they faced temptation. Daniel kept praying when the king’s decree put him in danger. We also look at how we can pray for our families, our decisions and one another. Praying early doesn’t mean we’ll avoid every problem. We still need the Lord when things are going well, and we can keep spending time with Him while we wait for an answer. If this message encourages you, share it with someone who may need to hear it.
