Waldwick/Midland Park stopped a 2-point conversion attempt to close out a 35-34 victory on the road at Garfield to secure its first-ever NJIC Championship. We have a recap and audio from winning head coach Dan DiStasi.
Then it is on to the state playoffs where the term 'North Jersey' is thrown around loosely. If you like long commutes in Friday evening traffic and state tournament games between teams with little to no history against each other, the you are going to love this year's postseason and this episode of The Football Show! powered by northjerseysports.com.

The Football Show! w/SFC Network's Mike Quick
When it comes to high school sports coverage, Mike Quick is not only a pioneer, he is the best to ever do it. From MSG Network to ESPN Radio to the SFC Network, Quick has been there and crushed it. He joins us this week in an ornery mood to discuss a whole bunch of topics pertaining to not just local high school football, but the landscape of the entire Tri-State Area.
We pulled this out and made it its own show because when Mike Quick talks high school football, those with an interest in it should listen uninterrupted on The Football Show! powered by northjerseysports.com.

The Football Show! WW/MP's DiStasi the guest
Waldwick/Midland Park's sixth straight win, 21-7 over previously unbeaten Wood-Ridge, earned the Warrior/Panthers a trip to the NJIC championship game for the second time in program history. They will play Garfield on Friday night with both sides looking for their first ever NJIC titles. Head coach Dan DiStasi is the guest this week as we preview championship weekend.
We also wrap up a wild week in the Big Boy division where the parochials are just beating up on each other and we do it all without the resident "Hot Wing," who is still on his European adventure.
It's The Football Show! powered by northjerseysports.com.
