GTA 6 Pre-Orders, KB Toys, Blue Razz Blow Pops & The Things We Did With Paper in School | Episode 22

Ready for another Nostalgia Overload? This week on the Nostalgic Overload Podcast, we're mixing a little bit of what's happening now with some of the best memories from growing up. We're kicking things off with GTA 6, as pre-orders are officially live and the wait for one of the most anticipated games ever gets even more real. We're talking about the hype, the excitement, and what it was like when getting a new video game meant heading to the store instead of simply downloading it. That leads us straight into the nostalgia of KB Toys—walking through the aisles, checking out all the latest games and toys, and somehow convincing yourself that you absolutely needed something before leaving the mall. And while we're talking childhood treats, we're bringing back the legendary Blue Razz Berry Blow Pop and remembering the candy that made growing up just a little bit sweeter. Then we're heading back to the classroom and remembering just how creative we could get with something as simple as a piece of paper. From passing notes and making paper poppers to folding paper airplanes and playing paper football, we found plenty of ways to entertain ourselves when we were supposed to be paying attention. No smartphones, no tablets, no apps—just paper and a little imagination. And finally, we're taking it outside when we hear that unmistakable sound every kid knew: the ice cream truck. We're talking about chasing it down the street, trying to decide what treat to get, and why an ice cream truck showing up on a summer afternoon felt like the biggest event of the day. From the excitement of GTA 6 to toy store memories, childhood candy, classroom creativity, and summer ice cream truck runs, this episode is packed with the kind of memories that make you stop and say, I completely forgot about that! 💬 What do you remember most about KB Toys? What was your favorite Blue Razz candy or ice cream truck treat? And what kind of paper creation were you making in school? Let us know in the comments—we'd love to hear your memories and feature them in a future episode! 👍 If you enjoyed this trip down memory lane, don't forget to Like, Subscribe, and turn on notifications so you never miss a new episode of the Nostalgic Overload Podcast. Zoo Books, HitClips, Sobe & Surviving Long Car Rides Before iPads | Episode 21

Ready for another Nostalgia Overload? This week on the Nostalgic Overload Podcast, we're heading back to the days when entertainment didn't require Wi-Fi, HitClips somehow counted as a music collection, and surviving a long car ride meant getting creative. We're flipping through the unforgettable Zoo Books that seemed to show up in every kid's house, remembering HitClips and the tiny pieces of songs we couldn't get enough of, and talking about the massive home stereo systems that once ruled our living rooms and bedrooms. Then we're going way back to the simple stuff with Waterfall Ring Toss and remembering all the weird games, toys, and activities that kept us entertained during long car rides before iPads, tablets, and smartphones. How did we survive staring out the window for six hours?! Of course, nostalgia isn't complete without food and drinks. We're talking about our love for the almighty grilled cheese, debating our favorite Girl Scout cookies, and remembering Sobe drinks. And seriously, Sobe Slammed—BRING IT BACK! From tiny music players and giant stereos to road-trip boredom, simple toys, childhood snacks, and drinks that disappeared way too soon, this episode is packed with the kind of memories that make you say, "I completely forgot about that!" 💬 What kept you entertained on long car rides before iPads and smartphones? And what discontinued drink or snack would you bring back immediately? Let us know in the comments—we'd love to feature your memories in a future episode! 👍 If you enjoyed this trip down memory lane, don't forget to Like, Subscribe, and turn on notifications so you never miss a new episode of the Nostalgic Overload Podcast.
