I talk to ladies over 80 about their lives - struggles, triumphs, any wisdom they would like to offer. I believe we don't value our elders as much as we should or used to - especially women. This podcast helps shed a light on the stories of everyday, extraordinary women.

Barbara has lived such an interesting life. Married three times, was a nurse and healer through the AIDS crisis, and ventured out on her own in an orange Karmann Ghia convertible!

Ethel
By the time your hearing this episode, Ethel is at least 97, as all of these interviews took place before the pandemic.
Ethel is a marvel to me. She had a rich life of family, work and travel. I met a few of her younger family members while there - it was heartening to see her with family and cracking sarcastic jokes. And her direct and SUPER dry nature - I just love it.
She knew what she wanted and she made it happen. I appreciate her conviction.
