How I Deal With Racism When I Travel
<p>As a Black woman, I know that there are people who feel that I should not be visiting their city, state, or country. It can be difficult when people are rude and say mean things to me. Fortunately, this is not common. Unfortunately, it is something I have had to deal with for my entire life. I am thankful that my experiences visiting places near and far are usually very positive! I make sure that I feel as safe as I can and that I do a little bit of research before I go. There is no way to promise that a racist experience won't happen in the future. I just do my best to enjoy my travels and not let the terrible actions of a few ruin my opportunities to explore the world!</p>
