About Notes From The Underground

Are you a person that loves Jesus but has some real concerns about Christianity? Then this is the podcast for you! Here at Notes we ask ourselves "what is the other side of the story" then dig in with a progressive theological lens and a socio historical approach to the Bible. This podcast is not only NSFW, it is often NSFC (not safe for church) so be warned - we are not afraid to push some theological boundaries. Join Rick, Andy, and Tiziana as they dive into the very first thorny topic of the 2026 season. Ezra, chapter 10 and the putting away of the foreign wives. This is a deeply thorny topic that must begin with laying the groundwork for the book of Ezra, it's history, and the political and social climate that surrounded the exiled Israelites as they returned to their homeland.

A chit chat with Pastor Sara Wilcox

Join the Notes AND Burros team as we explore themes of faith, inclusivity, and the journey with Sara Wilcox, head pastor at Land Of The Sky United Church of Christ. From political science to ministry, this episode delves into her experiences in various church environments, the importance of community engagement, and the challenges faced by women in ministry. The discussion also touches on the intersection of faith and politics, the role of charity versus justice, and the significance of theological curiosity in modern faith practices. This was a SUPER fun episode and I hope you all enjoy getting to know MY pastor just a little bit better.
