About Now Playing Podcast Presents: The Halloween Retrospective Series
One night, he came home. And he just kept coming back.
Now Playing Podcast revisits the entire Halloween saga, from John Carpenter’s 1978 minimalist masterpiece through masked copycats, sibling revelations, reality-show resurrections, Rob Zombie’s brutal reimagining, and the David Gordon Green trilogy.
Michael Myers has been shot, burned, decapitated, rebooted, and retconned more times than most franchises survive. But which timelines truly capture the quiet dread of The Shape? Which sequels honor the legacy, and which should have stayed buried in Haddonfield?
Join the Now Playing Podcast crew as they carve through every continuity, every final girl, and every “final” showdown to decide which entries deserve a treat and which are pure trick.
