Host Deirdre O’Regan, Senior Director of Recruitment at AMN Healthcare International, is joined by immigration attorneys Chris Musillo and Mike Hammond along with AMN colleague Ed, to unpack the most recent visa bulletin.
Released unusually late—on September 29th—this month's bulletin brought retrogression for Rest of World EB-3 categories, a modest two-week advancement for Philippine EB-3, and no spillover numbers. The panel explained what's behind the delays, what it means for nurses currently in the pipeline, and—most importantly—what candidates can do right now to stay prepared and minimize self-inflicted delays.
Despite the disappointing headline numbers, the panel identified several silver linings: positive movement on the F-1 front, optimism for Philippine EB-3 progression throughout the fiscal year, and the likelihood of more embassy interviews resuming in October. The overarching message was clear: don't get discouraged. The process has its cycles, and those who stay prepared will be ready when the green light comes on.
