<p><strong>Warme technologie in de zorg, over Dementie</strong></p> <p>Het aantal mensen met dementie zal de komende jaren alleen maar toenemen. Technologie kan helpen om het leven voor hen (en voor hun omgeving) aangenamer te maken. Maar dan moet het wel ‘warme technologie’ zijn, die de behoefte van de ouderen als uitgangspunt neemt. Dat betekent dat je samen met betrokkenen gaat kijken wat er nodig is. Met de oudere en diens familie, met de verzorgende, met andere disciplines in het verpleeghuis, tot en met de schoonmaak aan toe. Wat hebben zij nodig om tot zinvolle interactie te komen met de bewoner?</p> <p>Dr. Ir. Rens Brankaert is Hoogleraar Dementie TU Eindhoven en assistent professor aan de Faculteit Industrial Design, Systemic Change groep. Hij ontwikkelde een kompas met GPS zodat niet alleen familie een ouder met Dementie kan terugvinden, maar ook de ouder zelfstandig de weg naar huis kan vinden.
