<p>Please join me in welcoming Season 1 of OUTSPOKEN with a poem entitled "Our Deepest Fear".</p> <p> S1 is officially titled "<strong>Let Your Light Shine".</strong></p> <p>.</p> <p>.</p> <p>.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.<br>Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.<br>It is our light, not our darkness<br>That most frightens us.</p> <p>We ask ourselves<br>Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?<br>Actually, who are you not to be?<br>You are a child of God.</p> <p>Your playing small<br>Does not serve the world.<br>There's nothing enlightened about shrinking<br>So that other people won't feel insecure around you.</p> <p>We are all meant to shine,<br>As children do.<br>We were born to make manifest<br>The glory of God that is within us.</p> <p>It's not just in some of us;<br>It's in everyone.</p> <p>And as we let our own light shine,<br>We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.<br>As we're liberated from our own fear,<br>Our presence automatically liberates others.</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>Note:</strong> This inspiring quote is taken from Marianne Williamson's book A Return to Love. <p>Chile... <strong>perfectionism</strong> and the <strong>english language</strong> had me down bad trying to create this intro for OUTSPOKEN. Y'all be blessed...</p> <p><br></p> <p><strong>2 Corinthians 12:9: </strong>but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” </p> <p>Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. <p>It's HERE and OKAYYY I SEE YOU'RE HERE TOO! </p> <p><strong>Thank you for joining us!</strong></p> <p><br></p> <p>Here's your history lesson for the day: </p> <p>OUTSPOKEN actually started off as a "social action" project for one of my final classes in undergrad! God allowed me to sit with the idea for a while before revealing that it was more than just a project...it was destined to be a PODCAST and PLATFORM for folks to discuss living in the<strong> real world</strong> while trying to live for a <strong>real God</strong>. </p> <p>Sometimes I have difficulty discerning the voice of God (despite how many Bible plans I've completed on how to do so) and it's hard to know what the "right" things to do are when there are so many <strong>valid</strong> thoughts, ideas, and opinions on how we should operate in any given situation. On OUTSPOKEN, this is why we are instructed to focus on Biblical Standards for living a righteous life. Together, we'll work to address the forces at work to distract us from how God expects us to operate, and develop a game plan so we can move forward and closer to who He's called us to be. </p> <p>This journey isn't easy, that's why I'm excited that we'll get to navigate it together :) </p> <p><strong>Stay tuned <3</strong></p> <p><br></p> <p>P.S.
