Welcome to the Oakdale Christian Centre Podcast.
Join us in our Christian Growth meetings, Bible teaching and Studies from a first century church in the twenty first century.
As a church, it’s important to us that we support mission work around the world. Wycliffe Bible Translators are one of the organisations we support.
we recently welcome back Tabitha Doey, Wycliffe’s Regional Manager for Wales and south west England, to update us about their work. It was encouraging to hear about how modern technology is speeding up bible translation and how much of an impact it is for believers all over the world to be able to read Gods word in the language they’re most familiar with.
To protect the identity of some of the translators Tabitha tells us about, there names have been removed from the recording.
To find out more about Wycliffe you can find them at wycliffe.org.uk (https://wycliffe.org.uk)

We Can Make Our Plans, But The Lord Determines Our Steps
Occasionally members of the church volunteer to lead a bible study during our Thursday night Christian growth sessions.
In a session led by Ken, we look into the idea that “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs chapter 16 verse 9.
The main reading is Jonah chapter 1.
