On the OCD Podcast, Evan Daffron and Chris G occasionally discuss content such as their favorite films, TV shows, and other pop culture media both classic and new. Part of the LakeNet Media Podcast Network.
SWEAR TO ME!! This episode consists of an all-encompassing discussion of the various film and TV entities of Batman (well, except maybe the animated Batmen. We don't discuss those a whole lot). Since it's such a grand task, we had to bring in our good friend Josh to join us again. Our discussion of Batman ranges from the Adam West TV version all the way through the unexpectedly awesome movie The Batman (2022). Evan D, Chris G, and Josh C share the good and bad of the various Dark Knights...ooh! The Dark Knight! That was a great one, wasn't it?

The Big Lebowski
YEAH, WELL, THAT'S JUST, LIKE, YOUR OPINION MAN! And the quotes go on and on for this cult classic, but do we even like this movie beyond a few funny moments? Today Evan and Chris discuss another Coen Brothers movie that has a large following (yeah, like with conventions and everything): The Big Lebowski (1998). Evan likes it better than Chris, who apparently cannot believe that he used to like it. Listen for discussion and trivia around this film, including other considerations to play the role of The Dude. In the meantime, I think we can all agree: That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
BOY! THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY! Who doesn't love a 1970s-era street fight between competing news crews? Welcome to the world of the TV news anchorman (and anchorwoman) in their heyday in the late 70s. Today Evan and Chris are BACK after a hiatus to discuss one of the biggest hits of the Will Ferrell-Adam McKay collaborations of the early 2000s: Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. There are lots of laughs and memorable quotes from this comedy. Give it a listen, and tell us what you think. Because 60 percent of the time, it works every time...It's SCIENCE!

O Brother, Where Art Thou?
R-U-N-N-O-F-T with us to a setting in the 1930s (where they got this de-pression on) for some fun and mayhem with one of our favorite re-watchable movies of all time. Today Evan and Chris are joined once again by special guest and friend of the show Josh to talk about the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000). It was a joy to talk about this masterpiece and its impact on culture over the last 26 years. We could've gone on for another hour, because we three love this film so much--we're all goin' apey. "Well it was a powerful air..."

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum & John Wick: Chapter 4
I HAVE SERVED. I WILL BE OF SERVICE... Welcome to another OCD podcast where we discuss another pair of awesome action movie sequels: John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019) and John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023). These films continue to take the violence and gunfights up several notches as the action escalates ever further against the High Table. Evan was a bit let down by Chapter 3, but Chris thought it kicked ass. Both agreed that Chapter 4 might be the best in the franchise. But is it the end for Keanu Reeves as John Wick? Spoiler news says NO!

John Wick & John Wick: Chapter 2
BABA YAGA IS HERE! Welcome to our first episode of 2026 as we discuss a pair of awesome action movies: John Wick (2014) and John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017). These films can be deemed as revivals of both the action movie genre and of Keanu Reeve's career. While Evan had seen them before (and recommended them), Chris was seeing them for the first time and had a ball watching. How much do we love the characters, the action, and the revenge of these first two John Wick films?! Spoiler alert: a LOT. Welcome to 2026 from the OCD podcast!

Die Hard (a magical Christmas story)
YIPPIE KI-YAY FOLKS! It's the most wonderful time of the year, so this week Evan and Chris discuss one of everyone's favorite Christmas movies: Die Hard (1988). It's the film that launched Bruce Willis into stardom and made him an 80s action hero. Chris likes the film fine, but not as much as when he saw it as a teenager. Evan has talked himself into it being one of his favorite movies of all time apparently. But is it really a Christmas movie? And how do we define what constitutes that description? We hope you enjoy and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS from the OCD podcast!

Austin Powers in Goldmember
WHO THROWS A CUPCAKE, HONESTLY? Evan and Chris go back and forth this time between 2002 and 1975 to review the third "very toit" film in the trilogy, Austin Powers in Goldmember. We seemed to agree on the high comedic and entertainment value of this fun film, yet lament that there won't be any more it seems. Beyonce's "Foxy Cleopatra" was indeed a whole lotta foxy, sugar. The cameos at the beginning and end of the film were a complete delight. The character Dr. Evil really hits his stride in this film, while Scottie may have turned out even more evil..And that Goldmember was something else, ja?" Too bad about that unfortunate smelting accident... And don't forget Austin Powers "Fasha" played by the legendary Michael Caine.. He was in pure form...

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
WHY MAKE A TRILLION WHEN WE CAN MAKE...BILLIONS? Evan and Chris go back and forth again from the 1990s to the 1960s to review the second groovy film in the trilogy, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). We were split on our review of the film, but agreed that Twin Peaks alumna Heather Graham is "switched on," and that Rob Lowe was perfectly cast as a young Number Two. Did we get enough of Fat Bastard, or too much? Plus, we meet Mini-Me who learns from Dr. Evil that "we don't gnaw on our kitty." Aaaaaand I'm spent...

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery
GROOVY BABY! YEAH! Evan and Chris return to travel to the swinging '60s to review this shagadelic Mike Myers creation, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997). We believe it's fantastic, silly fun with comedy that holds up almost 3 decades later. Plus, it has Elizabeth Hurley in it. Does it make you randy?

"I AM THE FBI !!" Evan and Chris take another flight with the owls as they journey through the second half of Twin Peaks: The Return (2017). We share our favorite moments (Cooper finally!) and disappointments (what was that ending?) as we ponder upon whether this will be our final TP discussion at the formica table above the convenience store.

Twin Peaks: The Return (first half)
"HELLLLLOOOOOOOO! JADE GAVE TWO RIDES" Evan and Chris are back in the Black Lodge (or is it the White Lodge), as they take a look at the first 8 episodes of the increasingly bizarre Twin Peaks: The Return (2017). Opinions are all over the map between us, much like they are between the fan base as a whole.

Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning + the Whole M:I Franchise
"I NEED YOU TO TRUST ME; ONE LAST TIME..." Is it really the last time we'll see Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt on screen? Now that Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is available on streaming, we're sharing an episode we recorded shortly after seeing this film on opening weekend in the theater. Evan and Chris discuss their reactions to The Final Reckoning as well as share their thoughts on the other films in the Mission: Impossible franchise.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (with special guest Josh)
"WHO DO YOU THINK THIS IS THERE?" We're not sure, actually. But we are sure that we're not going to talk about Judy...or will we? Today Evan and Chris are joined by special guest and friend of the show Josh. Fire Walk With Me is the prequel film for the TV series we've discussed at length already: Twin Peaks. Allow us to walk you through this 1992 David Lynch masterpiece with a healthy portion of garmonbozia. You can write us at askocdpod@gmail.com

Twin Peaks Season 2 (second half)
"WHERE'S ANNIE? WHERE'S ANNIE?..." Evan and Chris share thoughts on the second half of the second season of Twin Peaks (1990). We both wanted to k!11 ourselves through most of it. But the ship righted itself 2-3 episodes before the end. Then we were ALL the way back in!
