October Falls is a gothic horror anthology podcast — a place where the fog never quite lifts and the past never stays buried. Each season tells a complete, standalone story, set in its own town, its own era, its own particular flavor of dread, but every one shares the same slow-burning, character-first approach to horror: real people, real relationships, and the patient, creeping sense that something has always been just slightly wrong.
Season One, "Dead End on Wexler Street," follows nine-year-old Nathaniel Thorne through one unforgettable autumn in 1968 Cedar Hollow, Pennsylvania.

Season One • Episode Eight
WHAT KIND OF FATHER
Some families pass down heirlooms. Others pass down their wounds.
Autumn, 1968. Cedar Hollow, Pennsylvania.
Denny Marsh has disappeared from school, and the town is doing what it does best: keeping quiet. But Nathaniel Thorne has seen enough to understand that something terrible has happened behind the closed doors of the Marsh house.
As whispers spread and old fears resurface, Nathaniel begins to understand that cruelty doesn't always begin with the person who inflicts it. Sometimes, it is inherited. Sometimes, it is mistaken for discipline, hidden behind silence, and passed from one generation to the next.
Then a conversation with his own father opens a door Nathaniel never expected to find unlocked. For the first time, he begins to understand the man behind the silence—and the family history that shaped him.
Nathaniel is only nine years old, but he is already asking a question that will follow him long after childhood ends:
What kind of father will he become?
In Cedar Hollow, the past never stays buried for long. And something in the walls is still listening.
Dead End on Wexler Street is a story of childhood, inherited darkness, and the fragile hope that a cycle can be broken before it claims another generation.
Part of October Falls: A Gothic Horror Anthology, where every town keeps its secrets, every family has its ghosts, and some doors should never be opened.
Somewhere, it's always October.

Episode 7 : The Break
DEAD END ON WEXLER STREET
Season One • Episode Seven
The Break
Some secrets refuse to stay buried. And some friendships are tested when the world turns cold.
On Wexler Street, the line between childhood and something far more sinister begins to fracture. At a frozen creek, an ominous encounter leaves questions that refuse to disappear. With Rusty standing guard, the children find themselves facing something that may change everything they thought they knew.
In a town where the past has a way of finding its way back, even the most familiar places can become dangerous.
Because sometimes, the most frightening thing isn't what waits in the shadows.
It's what happens when something finally breaks.

Epsiode 5: What It Cost For the Last One
Fall, 1968. Everybody who dies leaves something behind. So why is there nothing of Nathaniel’s grandfather anywhere in the Thorne house?
Eli warns him to be careful, but Nathaniel climbs into the attic anyway. Under the far eave he finds a locked trunk and a bundle of letters that were never sent, written in a careful, old-fashioned hand about a bargain struck in a churchyard long ago. As he reads, the attic grows colder, and behind him, in the dark, a page begins to turn.

Episode 4: The Postmaster's Door
Fall, 1968. A teacher finds Nathaniel behind the toolshed, talking to no one at all, and for the first time he has to lie to protect his friend.
Then Eli disappears for three days. When he comes back, a name rises out of him like a word left over from a dream, and frost forms in a ring at noon. Many miles from Cedar Hollow, an old man sits by a window, writing the same two words over and over until the pencil tears through the page.
