Zajímavou památku na historii náboženské reformace v Hranicích můžeme dodnes najít v širším centru města. Na Šromotově náměstí se dochovala historická stavba stojící na místě někdejší českobratrské modlitebny, která dodnes slouží jako sborový dům. V minulosti však měla i jiné využití.

U obce jménem Hradečná evokuje název existenci nějakého opevněného sídla. V případě Hradečné na Litovelsku bychom ale nějaké hradiště hledali marně. Snad tudy vedla hradská cesta na Bouzov, ale i o tom přesvědčivé zprávy chybí.

Železnice vedoucí ze Zábřeha do Sobotína přivedla pod Jeseníky poprvé možnost rychlé a poměrně levné přepravy osob i nákladu. Ne náhodu za její výstavbou stáli jedni z největších stavitelů železnic v tehdejší monarchii, bratři Kleinové.
