Oddcast: Movies, Music & Gaming

About Oddcast: Movies, Music & Gaming

Join childhood buddies Sam and Dan as they head left off the highway for a chat through movies, music and games on the fringes of modern culture. Sam LeGassick (The IT Crowd, MTV, Disney) and Dan Gallagher (Dreadful Discs, CELLS, Pelican Daughters) have been friends for over 30 years. They share a mutual appreciation for what lies out on the edges of the mainstream. Join them on their journey as they uncover the good, the bad and the intentionally ugly, and rip it all apart. Each episode features a different subject and don't worry if you don't know anything about it, that's part of the fun. We will make sure we fill you in before we delve into the nitty gritty. Just sit back and enjoy the oddities. For people looking for the audiodrama A New Winter, you can now find this by searching for A New Winter: Limited Series or go to anewwinter.net. MOVIES: Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)

Hospital emergency room Dr. Daniel "Dan" Challis (Tom Atkins) and Ellie Grimbridge (Stacey Nelkin), the daughter of a murder victim, uncover a terrible plot by small-town mask maker Conal Cochran (Dan O'Herlihy), a madman who's planning a Halloween mass murder utilizing an ancient Celtic ritual. The ritual involves a boulder stolen from Stonehenge, the use of Silver Shamrock masks and a triggering device contained in a television commercial -- all designed to kill millions of children. We loved Halloween so much, we're jumping straight into number 3. 'The one without Michael Myers' as it's more widely known (when technically he is actually in it), this was received poorly by critics but found a cult audience - why? Let's find out.
