Odder worlds is a bi-weekly roleplaying podcast where we discuss the elements of gaming and also destruction test games. That is, we play games until they break, sometimes even intentionally. If you are looking for how to tell stories and not worry too much when they go off the rails, we are here for you. Also check out our sister show, the Geekly Oddcast.
2.8.4 - Actual Play - The Happiest Apocalypse on Earth, Golden Ticket Edition - Part 4
In 2020 a team of urban explorers set out to explore a chocolate factory. None of them were heard from again. Using advanced forensic techniques we've reconstructed the remains of their footage.
This is a tale of lost explorers, of dark secrets, of the dangers of gluttony and contracts, and of the two people who call themselves Mike Teavee.

2.8 - Actual Play - The Happiest Apocalypse on Earth, Golden Ticket Edition - Part 2
Tonight we start into our urban exploration of the chocolate factory. Our characters enter the broken down halls to extract the nougat center... I mean rescue someone. Definitely rescue. Not eat. Nothing in here eats people. Well, nothing human. But not everything in here is human. And something wants our heroes to scram.
Guests to be added later. I'm kind of short on time.

2.8 - Actual Play - The Happiest Apocalypse on Earth, Golden Ticket Edition - Part 1
The Happiest Apocalypse on Earth is a game about the lovecraftian dark side of Disn- er, I mean the Mouse Park. It's a fun trip to a beloved theme park where the pirates really do come to life and eat the tourists.
Except we are not playing in the Mouse Park, we are playing in a different terrifying wonderland. It's been ten years since the chocolate factory closed its gates; ten years since the candyman disappeared into a padded cell. Those workers who could took shelter with the Prodnose Conglomerate. No one talks of those who couldn't. The factory is a crumbling ruin and a source of urban legend.
Tonight we are making the characters that will venture into the depths of the Wonka Chocolate Factory.
Guests to be added later. I'm kind of short on time. They know why.

Story Seeds - When They Vanish
Tonight we are tackling another story seed and seeing where it takes us. There are many stories of people falling into other worlds of adventure and fighting battles to save the day, especially if you watch anime. What happens to those left behind though? What are they doing, and what does it all mean. Tonight, we're going to craft a story around that idea.
